Role Overview
Merkle is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Engagement Manager to join our team in Dublin. This role is ideal for someone who is excited to lead medium to large-scale Salesforce implementations. As an Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end enterprise-level projects, fostering client relationships and ensuring that solutions are successfully implemented. You will also take ownership of project documentation, testing and ensure that internal and client expectations are consistently exceeded.
Main Responsibilities
Project Plan Preparation & Ownership: Take full ownership of project planning, preparation and execution, ensuring deliverables meet client expectations and timelines.
Accountability for Project Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end project delivery, ensuring that the project stays on track, within budget, meets quality standards and is delivered on time.
Task Allocation: Effectively allocate tasks to the project team, ensuring clarity on roles, responsibilities and timelines.
Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle and manage them proactively to avoid project delays.
Project Team Leadership: Lead and participate in project teams, coordinating the implementation of project deliverables and ensuring smooth collaboration across departments.
Documentation Creation: Develop essential project documentation such as Project Plans, Status Reports, Risk Logs, etc., ensuring all project activities are tracked and communicated effectively.
Development Task Monitoring: Assist in monitoring and supporting the delivery of development tasks, ensuring high-quality technical implementation in alignment with client requirements.
Solution Design Guidance: Work closely with the delivery team to guide and advise on technical design and implementation, ensuring adherence to client requirements.
Technical Quality Assurance: Ensure that good design principles and technical quality standards are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
Management Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to management, offering insights into project status, risks and mitigation strategies.
Change Management: Effectively manage changes in the project scope, ensuring smooth adaptation and alignment with the client’s evolving needs.
Project Handover: Manage the handover of the project to the customer or support teams, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction.
Commit to acquiring at least one Salesforce certification within the first 6 months of employment.
Experience and Education
3-5 years of experience managing IT Projects
Significant business experience using various project and program management methodologies in a variety of environments.
Experience with Agile software development methodologies such as SCRUM
