Mission: Come to Microsoft to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.
I have been working at Microsoft full-time (More than a year)
Exposure to high levels of management. Opportunities galore to get involved in all areas of accounting / finance. So many avenues to learn and grow your career. Looked after very well in terms of compensation, benefits and work life balance. Great levels of talent from diverse backgrounds all throughout Finance.
I don't see it as a con but some people may - Come into the company ready to ramp up fast. There's a steep learning curve in your first 3-6 months so expect to work very hard while you learn it all.
Advice to Management
Recruitment process takes a very long time and we can lose talented external candidates to other companies just due to the waiting stage
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft (Dublin, Co. Dublin) in March 2016.
3 stage process - I only got to stage 2
1st stage was a quick 20 minute screening phone call with HR. General chatting and questions about my previous work experience and why I applied for the position. Follow up e-mail to arrange next stage of process
2nd stage was a 45 minute Skype call (It's timed to cut out at 45 mins and only lasted 30 mins due to technical issues at the beginning)
Jumped straight into technical question on a designing and developing a product (no chit chat)
Short time at end to ask questions
