Do Not Sell OR Share My Information
Thank you for your interest in opting out of having your data “sold” or “shared” by Glassdoor.
Glassdoor is based in California. A California law known as the CCPA requires companies operating in California to provide California residents with the ability to opt-out of the "sale" or “sharing” of their data. As part of Glassdoor’s Commitment to Privacy, we have chosen to offer this right to all of our users, regardless of location.
Does Glassdoor Sell My Data?
The definition of "sale" is broadly defined under applicable law so it isn’t always clear what is and isn’t a sale. In the interest of providing our users with transparency into our data practices, we have chosen to offer the ability to opt-out of our practice of what we generally view as data sharing, but which others may consider selling. At Glassdoor, our mission is to help people everywhere find a job and company they love. One of the ways we do this is by sharing data with some of our affiliates who share our goals. Our affiliates are companies that are owned by the same parent company that owns Glassdoor. You can read more about our affiliates and our shared commitment to privacy at our Privacy Centre.
“Sharing” data is defined by applicable law as making it available to other companies for the purposes of behavioural or targeted advertising.
Why Does Glassdoor Share My Data With Its Affiliates Or Advertising Partners?
We share data because we want to enhance the job search and recruitment process for our users and our customers. We do this by connecting you with more job listings, including those hosted by our affiliates, and connecting employers with more job seekers like you. For example, in order to help you find the best job, we may direct you to a job hosted by one of our affiliates or use your search and profile information from one of our affiliates to help us better personalise our suggestions for you on our services. We may also use your data to target ads, including job ads. You can read more about our data practices, including the kinds of data we collect, how we use that data, share it, secure it, and the other data privacy rights available to you in our Privacy Policy.
Can I still Opt-out?
Yes. We understand that some people choose to make different decisions regarding their personal data. We are happy to accommodate these individual choices and have provided an opt-out mechanism below. Please note that if you choose to opt out you may miss out on some of the benefits of having your data shared with our affiliates and ad partners as described above, but we will never choose to discriminate against you for making that choice. Please also be aware that we do not currently offer a method to reverse this choice, so please consider carefully before opting out. We also respond to Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals on this domain.
