I worked at Citi full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Excellent salary and staff benefits. Pension, health insurance, and onsite gym

    Cons

Widespread and normalised bullying. Environment that fosters competition rather than collaboration. Middle management taking credit for the hard work of their staff, but will gladly make scapegoats of the same people when things go wrong. Management that feel threatened by staff who are engaged and motivated. HR departmentis indifferent to anything outlined above.

    Advice to Management

My advice is to Management that oversees the EMEA locations. Citi is so close to being an amazing place to work. There is a serious culture problem from the top down in Dublin and London, and these offices are constantly losing their best staff to competitors. Benefits and salary mean nothing if you can't be treated with dignity and respect in the workplace.

I worked at Citi full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good start off salary but promotions and bonuses are non existent

    Cons

Promotions not based on merit, you can work your behind off and get nowhere. You are expected to be married to the company, work life balance is non existent.

    Advice to Management

Take more notice of the employee who work hard and less of the brown noses
