We are looking for a Data Analyst with strong analytical and reporting skills to join our growing team in Tralee.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with complex data, understanding how it fits together, and turning it into meaningful business insights. You'll work across a variety of data sources and reporting tools, including SQL, Power BI and Excel, to develop reports, dashboards and analytics that support business decision making.
Success in this role is about more than building reports. We're looking for someone who can independently investigate data, understand business processes, challenge assumptions where appropriate, and confidently present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You'll be given ownership of reporting projects from requirements gathering through to delivery, while working closely with colleagues across the business to continually improve our reporting capability.
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
· Design, develop and maintain high quality Power BI dashboards, reports and analytical solutions that deliver clear, meaningful and actionable business insights.
· Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, analyse, validate and investigate data, supporting reporting, analytics and business decision making.
· Analyse, cleanse and transform data from multiple sources, including SQL, Excel and other business systems.
· Develop a strong understanding of our data, business processes and reporting requirements, taking ownership of understanding data structures, relationships and business logic.

· Design intuitive, user friendly dashboards and visualisations that effectively communicate information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Work directly with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate business needs into practical, data driven solutions.
· Take ownership of reporting projects from initial analysis through to development, delivery and ongoing improvement.
· Present dashboards, analytical findings and recommendations confidently to internal teams and clients.
· Investigate data issues, identify trends and proactively recommend improvements to reporting, business processes and data quality.
· Assist with the administration and maintenance of the Power BI environment, including publishing reports, managing user access, workspaces and security permissions.
· Document reporting logic, calculations and business rules to ensure reporting remains accurate, consistent and maintainable.
· Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting standards, automation, data quality and business intelligence capabilities across the company.
Technical Skills & Experience Required:
· 3+ years' commercial experience in a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence, Reporting or similar analytical role.
· Strong analytical skills with experience working with structured data using SQL, Power BI, Excel, Python or other reporting and business intelligence tools.
· Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and optimise complex queries, work with views and stored procedures, and analyse and investigate complex datasets.
· Experienced in developing dashboards and reports using Power BI, or a similar business intelligence platform.
· Ability to independently investigate data, understand business processes, identify data relationships and solve reporting challenges.
· Experience transforming complex data into clear, engaging and actionable business insights through effective reporting and data visualisation.
· Good understanding of data modelling, database design, data modelling and reporting best practices.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to gather requirements, present findings and work directly with stakeholders and clients.
· Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to improving reporting processes and data quality.
· Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline
· Based within commuting distance of Tralee, Co. Kerry.
Place of Work: Tralee, Co. Kerry. This role is primarily office-based, with hybrid working available one day per week following onboarding and training.
