I have been working at Accenture full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people, fantastic social opportunities, decent career progression. Accenture is a great company to start in and you will learn so much but it's not a company to spend longer than 5 years working for.

    Cons

The company is constantly restructuring career paths and changing the rules. The career progress criteria isn't enforced fairly across the board. The higher up you go the more time you're expecting to do Accenture internal work on top of client work. There should be and usually is internal teams who should be doing this but senior management always rely on a few key people who "get things done". Can be very frustrating.

  5. "Good place to start in Ireland, but no option to stay longterm"

I worked at Accenture full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - very good team spirit among lowest team level - interesting and diversified job (after promotion) - collaboration with stakeholder was excellent (they were very humble and always ready to help)

    Cons

    - HORRIFIC management - team leader did nothing for the team, any issues had to be solved by ourselves or seniors (when somebody asked a questions, she always said "I often don't know how to resolve my tasks either and I have to find it out myself as well") - take advantage of employees that work a lot & hard (might come up at 5 to one employee and ask them to do a task that she won't be able to finish that day, then packs her stuff and she goes home punctually) - bad payment - performance doesn't count when it comes to bonus - management doesn't want to confront any issues, employees that don't do anything all day never face consequences and even receive bonus - fault is always on employee side (if you say you feel overwhelmed by work, management never sees their own impact, it's always your own fault) - management doesn't show any appreciation - management has a very short-term perspective, any suggestions to process improvements on a longterm sight are ignored - high employee dissatisfaction (all team members in my team) - when you hand in your resignation (which is your legal right to do) they get very salty and don't talk to you unless necessary regardless of the performance you've shown

    Advice to Management

    - show more appreciation towards your team - listen to team and be open to improvement ideas (at least take the time to evaluate it) - be there for the team, help out with any questions they have or at least address them to the right people - think ahead, not only the next two weeks in - keeping good employees would be way better than having such a fluctuation and having to train people all the time (quality goes down) - fair treatement of all employees

I worked at Accenture full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great people to work with, you'll meet some of the nicest people there. You can make real friends here.

    Cons

Management is inexperienced, they like to micro manage, and has a call centre feeling to it. They completely underpay for the job you are doing, and there is no HR presence.

    Advice to Management

Stop micro managing people, pay people more so they will stay. You're loosing all the good employees to your competitor companies.
