Business Analyst - Fund Accounting
Team member for the Data Delivery and Channels - Fund Services Team
Proficient Business Functional Analyst with 6 years in fund accounting principles and hands-on ability to query and analyse data across enterprise databases This role sits at the intersection of business analysis and technology supporting client onboarding workflows within asset servicing operations The ideal candidate bridges functional finance knowledge with data literacy able to interpret fund accounting logic validate data integrity and translate business requirements into actionable techniques.
Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee design and rollout of client facing reports dashboards and performance analytics aligned with SLAs and regulatory expectations

Responsible for product management of complex data and reporting projects and programs for new business and existing business

Collaborates with internal Key Partners and clients to facilitate the data delivery strategy tailored to client specific requirements including custom data transformation

Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounting function leveraging technology and best practices

Demonstrates knowledge in fund and client accounting ensuring high quality service delivery

Strong expertise in data hydration warehousing transformation and cloud native data architecture

Continuously grow and develop skills across AIML and GenAI and increase business acumen

Support client onboarding vendor integrations and managed service engagements by providing technical specifications and solution architecture for data flows

Technical proficiency in tools such as SQL Python ETL platforms API gateways Snowflake Databricks and metadata management platforms

Key Descriptions:

Fund Accounting Domain

Provide subject matter expertise across core fund accounting functions: NAV calculation, trade capture, position reconciliation, income processing, corporate actions, and financial reporting

Support technology implementations or upgrades involving fund accounting platforms (e.g., SimCorp Dimension, Geneva, InvestOne, Advent, or Charles River)

Work with operations and technology teams to define and validate accounting rules, booking logic, and P&L attribution models

Analyse and document data flows between order management systems (OMS), portfolio management systems (PMS), custodians, and fund accounting platforms

Support regulatory and audit requirements including IFRS/GAAP accounting treatment, fund-level tax reporting, and investor allocations
Client Onboarding Domain

Lead requirements gathering and process design for end-to-end client onboarding workflows, including KYC/AML, account setup, legal documentation, and data provisioning

Work closely with compliance, legal, operations, and relationship management teams to streamline onboarding journeys and reduce time-to-live for new clients and funds

Define and document integration requirements between CRM platforms, onboarding tools (e.g., Salesforce, Fenergo, SSIS), and downstream fund administration systems

Identify automation opportunities within onboarding processes and support RPA or workflow tooling implementations
