About VetPal
VetPal is an Irish technology start-up building a digital platform that connects animal owners, veterinary practices, and pharmacies across Ireland. Our platform handles veterinary digital prescriptions from Vet to agri Co-Op stores and Pharmacies across Ireland.

We're based in Roscommon and looking for someone local (or willing to relocate) who wants to get in at the ground floor of a tech company and grow with us.

The Role
This is a genuine all-rounder role for someone early in their tech career who wants broad, hands-on experience rather than a narrow job description. You'll work directly with the founders and our development partners, and over time you'll build a deep understanding of how the entire platform works — technically and commercially.

For the right person, this role has a clear path toward a senior technical leadership position (potentially CTO) as the company scales.

What You'll Be Doing

Platform Support & Testing

• Responding to support queries from vets, Co-Ops and pharmacies.
• Testing new features and releases across our web and mobile apps before they go live
• Logging, reproducing, and reporting bugs to the development team
• Carrying out data entry and data quality tasks on the platform

Website & Technical Work

• Maintaining and developing the company website
• Gradually learning our tech stack (React, React Native, Node.js, MongoDB, AWS) with a view to contributing to the platform over time

Account Management Support

• Helping onboard new veterinary practices and pharmacies
• Acting as a point of contact for client questions and follow-ups
• Supporting demos, training sessions, and customer success activities

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A genuine interest in technology and a willingness to learn fast
• Some exposure to web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) — through a course, college, personal projects, or work
• Strong communication skills — you'll be talking to customers, not just screens
• Well organised, reliable, and comfortable juggling varied tasks
• Based in or able to commute to Roscommon

Nice to Have (not required):

• A qualification in computer science, software development, or a related field
• Experience with WordPress or similar website tools
• Familiarity with React, JavaScript frameworks, or databases
• Any customer service, support desk, or account management experience
• An interest in animals, agriculture, or the veterinary sector
• Keen to use, develop and implement AI into the platform.
