I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at IBM in Oct 2016
Interview
IBM interview tended to be more casual than one would expect. They were basically asking about my experiences and research interests. It seemed that they were more interested in knowing my preference rather than telling me what to do. No concrete job description of the computer vision task was clarified. They give me a positive feedback about my interview but things were slowed down somehow after the interview. I followed up but did't hear from them since, which was pretty weird. But I don't really want to go to IBM so I just let it go.
The interview process can vary by company and role, but most follow a fairly standard sequence. Here’s what you can generally expect:
You submit your application (resume, cover letter, portfolio if relevant). A recruiter or hiring manager reviews it to see if your background matches the role.
It’s very easy, was a quick call, and they asked about behavioral questions and skills. Told me that if they liked my profile they would call me in the next days.
Smooth process with HR phone screen followed by technical interview. Questions focused on previous projects, problem-solving, and role knowledge. Interviewers were friendly and explained each step clearly, process is good overall
