Pros

The role offered flexibility through remote working, which allowed for better work-life balance and reduced day-to-day micromanagement. Access to LinkedIn Learning was also a strong benefit, particularly for the technical team, and supported ongoing professional development.

Cons

I struggled to see a clear path for progression, and there was limited encouragement to go beyond the scope of my role. When I did take on additional responsibilities, it often resulted in increased workload rather than meaningful recognition. While team acknowledgements were appreciated, they weren’t accompanied by tangible rewards. At times, it felt as though roles not directly tied to revenue generation were perceived as less valuable. Additionally, there was a lack of support, and workloads often felt heavy. Decisions appeared to be primarily driven by cost-saving measures, which sometimes impacted morale and team sustainability.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that the flexibility offered through remote working, the focus on work–life balance and access to learning tools such as LinkedIn Learning were positive aspects of your experience with us. We’re also sorry to hear that you faced challenges around progression, recognition and workload. Feeling unclear about career development or that additional responsibility isn’t acknowledged in a meaningful way can be discouraging, and it’s important to us that colleagues feel supported and valued in their roles. We are building on the career framework built last year, to increase visibility of career pathways for our colleagues. Our intention is to provide our colleagues with thriving careers, where they can grow, develop and achieve their career aspirations. We do have recognition and reward schemes in place to help our people feel valued for their contributions and it is a shame if these schemes were not used to show gratitude for the additional responsibilities taken on within your role. This year we are actively encouraging everyone to focus on wellbeing - this includes managing workloads, reducing stress and promoting better work/life balance. We are confident that our wellbeing strategy will have a significant impact for our colleagues this year. Your feedback on how non‑revenue roles are perceived, and the impact of cost‑driven decision making on workloads and morale, is particularly important. This highlights a need to improve transparency in our decision-making and communication about changes. Thank you again for taking the time to share your perspective, and for the contributions you made during your time at LRQA. We wish you every success in your future career.

Thanks for your review and glad you are enjoying some of the pros like work/life balance, growth/learning and equal opportunities. Communication can be challenging in a global organisation and we have a great initiative to improve our colleague-to-colleague communication that all colleagues will hear about very soon. We have recently completed a review of benefits in the US and can confidently say we offer competitive benefits for a organisation of our size. If you have specific feedback about the benefits, please reach out to daniel.waller@lrqa.com.

Pros

If you are a seasoned HR professional LRQA will not be the right place for you. It will stagnate your career and it makes you wonder very quickly after joining the company why it is poorly operated. If you are new to HR and want to work in a chaotic environment LRQA will be the place for you. Learn as much as possible and gain as many skills and ensure you find a new company where you can execute the skills.

Cons

1. Salary: the salary for my role is below he market. Competitors are paying more. We are not working for charity. We are currently in a recession. Ensure that salaries include the cost of living. Make sure you utilise your Reward team . 2. Benefits: what benefit package? Very poor. Gym contribution, cycle to work, cinema tickets. These are some attractive benefits that can be an incentive for people to join or stay with the company . 3. Leadership vision: many leaders came and left. They all joined with great plans but then reality hits them that it is hard to make change. Ensure that you have a clear vision and keep the wider team updated. We want to hear more about the leaders vision. No small talk. There is so much self motivation we can do. 4. Career development plan: Have a career plan in place that can motivate your team and and so that we know what direction there career goes to. You have a very talented team. We are making you look successful but what are you doing for us to make us successful? 5. No buzz: there is no buzz. We understand we all have to work but in many companies you feel a clear company spirit that makes you say: yes, "it is fun to work here."

Thanks for taking the time to feedback and provide your truth. Everyone's perspective is important and we want everyone to have a great experience. We are sorry if you didn't have the experience you were looking for with us. Your feedback does not match the majority of our People (HR) team's feedback. For example, we recently conducted our employee engagement survey and 87% of the team responded. The results showed that only 7% of the team gave an unfavourable response to question about feeling adequately rewarded and recognised. The results also showed that 76% felt they have good opportunities to learn and grow with only 12% disagreeing. For benefits, this can be challenging due to being a global organisation, but we do have a Benefits Hub with discounts for many things, including cinema tickets, available to 20 countries and we have worked with a external partner to ensure our benefits package is competitive in local markets. Our People Leadership team has also been stable. Our CPO has been in post for over 10 years and we have only lost one senior leader in the team in the last 2 years. However, there is always room for improvement and you may have had some unique experiences and circumstances that we could learn from. If you are willing to discuss this further so we can understand your personal circumstances, we would be grateful. Please contact lauren.hole@lrqa.com or naomi.armitage@lrqa.com. Either way, we wish you all the best in your new chapter.

Pros

LRQA used to be a great company with a strong reputation, interesting clients, and good learning opportunities. The brand is solid, and many of the people there are genuinely kind, hardworking, and care about doing things right. The salary is good not the best, but fair and the insurance benefits are excellent. The utilities and benefits in Mexico are also very well paid and definitely one of the positives of working there.

Cons

In the last few years, things have changed a lot. The company started focusing on “doing more with less,” and every time someone from the team left, it would take months before they even tried to replace that person. That meant everyone else had to do double the work just to keep up. Budgets were cut, and it often felt like there was no real support from management. My manager was very micromanagement and often used intimidation or passive-aggressive comments on top of that very little experience with the business can't even help you. I raised a speak-up report about this and many other things but nothing was ever done, it took me a long time to leave the company because I had faith things could get better but they never did then to find out she had multiple reports from other units of the business so something was really wrong there, because I wasn't the only raising her hand. Then the new regional sales manager came in, and he made things worse just can't explain but you will see results. The company is also very disorganized in its processes. There’s no clear structure or direction, and even when you have the potential to grow, there aren’t any real opportunities.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback and for acknowledging the positives you experienced at LRQA, including our strong brand, excellent benefits, and the dedication of many colleagues. We’re sorry to hear about the challenges you faced. Your comments on workload, leadership, and organisational structure are important, and we take them seriously. Listening to employees and acting on feedback is a priority for us, and we are committed to improving where we are not getting things quite right. Although we cannot comment specifically on your case, from our recent employee engagement survey, we can see that the 92% of the sales team in Mexico are satisfied with their line manager. Across LRQA, our line manager satisfaction scores are our top strengths. We are sorry to hear that you were unsatisfied, but this is not the case for the majority of our colleagues at LRQA who praise their managers for support and care. However, leadership development will continue to be high on our priorities and we will invest in our leaders more in 2026. Thank you again for sharing your perspective and for the impact you made during your time here.
