Pros

Not much workload; plenty of free time Decent pay compared to the effort required Wellness benefits are a plus Good option for freshers looking to start their careers

Cons

The company’s culture has gone downhill after toxic managers joined No real growth opportunities — low or zero increments, no perks, no bonuses Hardly any knowledgeable or inspiring colleagues to learn from No challenging or meaningful work Feels more like a school with strict timing and WFH rules; managers publicly call people out in channels — quite unprofessional

Pros

Initially engaging work environment with interesting projects

Cons

The work becomes repetitive and tedious over time. There's minimal innovation across roles - projects follow the same patterns repeatedly with little opportunity for creative problem-solving. Culture issues are significant. There's a troubling dynamic where Guidewire consultants routinely undermine partner consultants and deflect blame for project issues onto external resources. Health checks and assessments feel performative rather than providing genuine value to clients. They are primarily used as ammunition against implementation partners rather than driving meaningful improvements. Diversity and Advancement Concerns: The most serious issue is the disparity in how non-white employees are treated. Promotions require substantially more effort and take longer for non-white employees compared to their peers. While leadership will point to token examples of diversity, the aggregate data tells a different story; upper management is predominantly white. This is particularly evident in Professional Services leadership outside North America, where you'll find individuals in senior roles who lack the respect of the organization or relevant experience. The company has made questionable leadership decisions that suggest promotions aren't based purely on merit.

Pros

They have a great internship program at the company, I would recommend Guidewire for graduates and students on placement. You'll find most of the perks you'd expect at a modern tech company. Good health plan and subsidies.

Cons

Compared to the market they underpay for engineers. Don't expect the base salary to match other fintech multinationals. The company suffers from significant bloat in middle management. They seem to need 9-10 levels of management to direct their engineers. The engineering management often have no technical background, they have no context of what you're working on and show no interest. They will ask you to spend your time in workday rather than actually write code and solve client's issues and pull you up on it if you don't.

Pros

My top pros is 1. Flexible 2.Compensation will be good 3.Opportunities to learn

Cons

There are many cons 1. Bad Managment 2. Very bureaucratic environment 3. There wont care about the people's welfare and thoughts. 4. Micor management is more at high level 5. if some issue happend with the team, rather than solving that issue, they make your work more hard that you have to decide to leave the company. 6. Its like at the end of day some one has to be scape goat for their problems. 7. Company policies are good but the managment is bad.

Pros

Benefits are good, especially the leave policy and health insurance.

Cons

At times the environment can feel influenced by internal dynamics and informal relationships, which may impact how decisions and feedback are perceived across teams. This can create situations where accountability is not always evenly distributed and individual contributors may carry a disproportionate share of delivery pressure. Program managers also manage complex cross-team initiatives, and frequent shifts in priorities can make planning and execution challenging. No support from Security Directors or leadership they don't even interact L1, L2 folks
