Pros
UPS offers a variety of shifts to match anyone's schedule. This is great for students or a person who has multiple jobs. The benefits and tuition assistance are the single greatest attractors for part-time employees.
Cons
At UPS there is no such thing as downtime. As a supervisor you must be at work every day. Calling in is looked down upon and followed up with discipline. Even when you exceed goals recognition is minimal with an emphasis on how you could have further performed. The Union and management are quite strongly opposed to each other and this creates a lot of problems in discipline and motivation. Finally, you are constantly expected to make up for other people's shortcomings, as the most important thing is to get the job done.
