I worked at UPS full-time for less than a year

    Pros

very good wages, interesting colleagues from all over the world

    Cons

The single teams ( the different nation's) don't work togehter. Some team's losing so fast her co-worker, that isn't to describe and the most teamleader can't handling problem solving.

    Advice to Management

the staff at UPS need to use relativ oldfashioned PC programs, that should the company complete change and please make shure, that you hiring for the future trustworthy person's as teamleader, that I haven't seen at UPS.

I have been working at UPS full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Possibility to learn and grow. Easy going environment . Flexible hours.

    Cons

Archaic it systems. Salary is not bad but neither good. Management is focused only on work volume instead of quality.

    Advice to Management

Management should have a middle term grow plan, maybe making at first a financial investment in personnel . “Feed your horses and they will look after you” . Ups has some procedures that need time to understand giving a basic salary to the employees for such complicated procedures make them run away ASAP. This results in constantly having new staff that doesn’t now internal procedures, dropping productivity and time... to solve problems, nevertheless all the time lost by colleagues to deal with problems raised by inexperienced staff.

I worked at UPS full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Good atmosphere In my team

    Cons

Average salary compare to other companies, no benefits, no unpaid days for employee unless you beg to your supervisor, I believe that's the reason why majority of people change company Instead of company keeping people with good knowledge and good attitude.

    Advice to Management

Fight for more benefits and higher payment for the teams so people don't leave.

I worked at UPS full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Not having to work weekends . Great safety training .

    Cons

Worked for ups finglas . Impossible task to complete workload man vs satistic .you follow ups policy but management dont follow it. The center needs to deliver x amount of packages to run efficiently so the managers /supervisers have to push as much as they can out the door even when you tell them it's not humanly possible to do so . They have no choice but to load Van's to the roof because the computer says... its possible .

    I worked at UPS part-time

    Pros

None at all really. Bad starting time. Poor monthly salary for work done. Poor contract hours.

    Cons

Working on the nightshift you are treated as an inconvenience and a drain on turnover. The shift is run by idiot supervisors who like to shout all over the warehouse constantly. Then upper management love to come in throwing their weight around in the mornings shouting at people etc.

    Advice to Management

Clear out of supervisors and management . Better contract hours.

I worked at UPS full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Some nice colleagues to work with

    Cons

-Very low salary compared to other companies in Dublin. -No benefits, unless you count a very low annual benefit and a box of chocolates with a handwritten card from the manager for Christmas -High turnover of great staff. -Very poor company culture. -Lack of learning opportunities. -People aren't particularly valued. -Obsolete tech and poor facilities (need to pay for everything except water) -Bad management.... Does not listen nor care very much and tends to follow an "it is what it is" philosophy when facing any complaints or requests from its employees. - Lots of nonsense rules, including dress code and clean shaven policy despite the position being not customer-facing.
