Pros
As a large company, there are many divisions, fields, and locations from which to choose. This advantage gets lost, though, when opportunities come up in different locations--the company, which used to stand for "I've Been Moved," will not pay for your move--you pay out of your own pocket (except if you are an executive, of course).
Cons
Outsourcing, layoffs, increasing workload for remaining employees, working weekends with no recognition or extra pay, no pay increases 2 of 4 years. If you want a promotion--good luck. If you want a job in a different location, you pay for the move yourself. No travel, no Christmas parties, no retirement package, no stock options--just more and more work for the same amount of pay.
