The process took 3 months. I interviewed at VMware (Bengaluru) in Jun 2018
Interview
It was one of my worst experiences. The recruiter would not co-ordinate properly, won’t respond to emails, won’t take calls. Whenever, I called from a different number, he answered instantaneously. Till today he has not given me a feedback.
The interview process was a different ball game all together, it felt like they were not prepared, they asked anything, the manager did not know what to ask, at the end she told me, you know how the HR teams are, not sure when they will get back. After weeks I got an email which read that before I applied, the position was closed, no mention of the fact that I actually had 3 rounds of interviews. I am glad this feedback came in, I could at least let someone know what actully happened. I will never reccommend VMware to anyone, I thought highly of you guys till I was interviewed. I have new found respect for my own HR and management after interacting with you guys.

Question 1
Why do you want to do technical writing after this (pointing at my resume). I am a technical content writer with a reputed company with 10 + years of experience.
I applied online. I interviewed at VMware (Atlanta, GA) in Feb 2014
Interview
Initially contacted by someone in HR. Came in for an interview, met with the 'team leader' who seemed incredibly rushed and barely paid me any attention - she literally spent 5 minutes with me and checked her phone at least 5 times. Then I met with three other team members, conversation went well. No tough questions. Never received notification that I was rejected despite making multiple calls/emails to check the status of the position. I've seen the exact same position posted twice since then, so it seems getting no offer was a blessing.
