I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NEXT (Aberdeen, Scotland)
Interview
There had been a couple stages before you get to the actual interview. First of all you have to apply through online. it took me nearly two hours. then if you are successful they will phone and ask various questions, you would expect to hear in an actual interview e.g. what is your personality, what do you think is a good customer service, how your friend would describe you, what do you like to do in your free time etc. They never asked anything about the history of the store or anything related. Then if you are successful, they will send you an email with the time and place you have to come for the interview. it was face to face interview, with the department's manager. it was very easy and quick, they introduced and explained contract, then showed fire exits and the whole store and finally asked me to do customer service on the floor for about 5 mins. while they were watching, what I am doing (tidy and communicate to customers. if they ask you something and you don't know, just go and ask people who brought you on the floor, basically that's all they want to see from you).
and that was it. After we came back to the room and he has handed the contract to me.
Efficent and informative. provided the overall expectation of the job and what they expect from you. allowed you to choose from different times. instore assessment showed you more of what to expect from the job.
The interview was a very easy process, it was done through a phone interview first than an in person interview asking questions about myself and why should they pick me.
Simple interview process. Questions based around how I would handle certain situations, simple questions and an easy interview process. 1 interview round and one trial day. Offer made after the trial day.
