I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Microsoft (Redmond, WA) in Feb 2012
Interview
I didn't apply - I just dropped my resume off at the Campus Career center and Microsoft contacted me a few months later, asking for a phone interview. The phone interview went great - basically probed to see how I solved problems, rather than to see how much experience I had - and I was invited to Redmond for in person interviews. It was great - they flew all the Explorer candidates out, gave us a nice hotel to stay in, and party buses to and from Microsoft campus. We had three interviews that day: one with a PM, one with an SDE, and one with an SDET.

Question 1
One of the people I talked to asked what I like to do in my free time. I should have expected this question but I didn't... and didn't know how to respond.
Interviewed once behavioral then two technical. Very simple questions and LC easy. They were forgiving if it didn’t run. Asked specific questions about projects from my resume, asking me to describe how I built them. Heard back within a week but status changed in portal before this.
i got straight to the final round, which was two back to back interview, and the first focused on behavioural, like describing a conflict between you and a co-worker, how would you reachout for help ina group project, and the second one was coding, where I had two questions, and both were easy leetcode question
