Pros

Very well paid Benefits medical dental 401k

Cons

They closed the entire Chicago market without notice they made a schedule until Saturday and fired everyone on a Thursday gave employees a 5 minute group call on the final day of employment saying thank you for the last six months of your hard work. We have sold the company today is your last day please finish the day with integrity. Upper management is a joke. They are more interested in writing people up, then helping people grow in their positions. They claim to be all about employees, honesty, and culture, but it’s the complete opposite. It’s a company ran by T-Mobile employees that look down on Metro employees. One of the upper management leaders said and I quote “we are not ordering water bottles for Metro stores. It’s just Metro, They have running water in the bathroom if they are thirsty.” Extremely hard for sick hours to be paid or to take PTO almost impossible. All employees and store managers are not treated fairly. There is a lot of favoritism in the company. They also change commission structure very often Almost every 60 to 90 days claiming that there is more money, but the goals are always extremely high and continue to go on a monthly basis.

Base salary is decent for a job with no college degree

Cons

Budget are based on company standards not location specific, no help from upper management, no work life balance, you get told your 45 hours a week but realistically expected to work 54

Pros

*Great starting job for younger adults who truly want to learn sales. *Decent benefits packages with 401k. *If you have a pulse & no felony's they will hire you.

Cons

There is ALOT of Cons for me, again Wireless Vision USED to be a great place to work. A few years ago I would have rated this 5/5 star place to work, however some management & Compensation changes have made this a stepping stone job at best. *If you have any issues with being mis-treated by management the HR department does not care, unless you have hard evidence of a potential lawsuit, HR will listen & do nothing. *(This could just be an issue with Colorado, but I am sure there is explains in other states) Retail Sales Reps (or RSRs) do not get equal pay. Wireless Vision follows the minimum wage in select areas, so because the minimum wage in the city of Denver is higher than suburbs of Denver, So if a store is considered to be in Denver they can get paid up to $4 - $5 more on their hourly rate even if lower paid store is only 15 minutes away from Denver. This causes extremely high employee churn once RSRs learn they have a peer 15 minutes away from their store making more money. *Compensation plan for RSRs & Retail Store Managers (RSMs) is no longer worth it. (It used to be great!) When I ran a store I had several top performing RSRs making well over $3000 in just commission sales, now if those same RSRs have the same performance, their commission is closer to $1500 - $1800. (Same issues applies to RSMs) *Speaking of Performance, the company has a what have you done for me lately mentality with extremely high levels of favoritism within upper management. I worked for this company for 6 years, (I would say 5 out of those 6 I was consistently a top performer in my district) I was always looking for development into a new or promotional role & was told by multiple members from upper management that they "appreciated me" & if I didn't more outside of my job title that they would get me to where I wanted to go. I put in so much work & my life for this company only for this to never happen. Promotional opportunities' would open up, I would apply, and I wouldn't even get an interview. They one time I was considered for a promotion, I made it to the third & final round interview, didn't get the role only to find out later the person who got the role was another RSM who wasn't a top performer, but played golf with a regional manager, and since this persons store was getting closed, they complained, then got the role. (Spoiler Alert! This person didn't even apply for the role, it was just handed to them due to favoritism) *If you apply for a RSR or RSM role, (its retail) expect no work life balance & expect your district manager to run their districts at the comfort of their own home. *If you are not friends or in "the cool kids group" with upper management, they do not value you. Unless you perform, but they still really don't value top performers, because you can be 150% to all sales metrics for 9 straight months in a row, but the moment you have 3 less than stellar months, you might find yourself on the chopping block.
