Pros
Great benefits and great place to start out for an entry level position.
Cons
As a Financial Advisor I was not able to use my skills in helping members achieve their goals. I spent most of the day talking to people about their divorce, soldiers who were coming home from deployment and did not want to talk, or people so far in debit that the needed to file bankruptcy. It became very depressing after 10 hour days. USAA only wants FA to push life insurance and annuities, because these products add the most to the bottom line. If you do not mention life insurance on every call it is grade a below expectations every though it may not be fully suitable for a members situation. This took the fun out of the job.
