Pros

The compensation is good but not worth the nonsense you have to deal with..

Cons

Daily seat hoteling, yes you heard me correctly you have to book and reserve your work station daily. This is one of the biggest annoyance especially when it’s an open floor plan layout. Many distractions from some folks that don’t know the meaning of their “inside voice “. The office politics and water cooler jibber jabber makes for a toxic rumor mill full environment. They only hire contractors within so if you see a job posting on the job boards don’t waste your time because they are only posting to be compliant with the law. Backstabbing is in every corporate environment but commonplace here and be mindful of coworkers having daily meetings with your management without you. This day in age most companies recognize the advantages of working remote. Good luck doing that here due to old non relevant ways of thinking and extreme micro management.....

Pros

Great general benefits however not as good as it was when I first started at the firm 11 years ago. Firm used to provide better employee incentives but no longer provides. Employee experience all depends on who you report to and work with. Some have great experiences, while others are completely over-worked.

Cons

Let go during RIF. When I started with the firm back in 2015, RIF's didn't occur much but now has become the normal once a year at minimum at KPMG. You must be on top of you game now (high performance culture) otherwise can be let go at any moments notice. Unfortunately if you do amazing on your engagement work, doesn’t mean anything to leadership and can still be let go, especially at manager level and requires you to put many additional hours per week doing extra curricular (Business Proposals, Certifications, etc.).
