Pros
KPMG offers attractive entry-level compensation packages and up until this year, great training. It is also an attractive big-4 name to have on a resume in the future.
Cons
This year, all nationwide training programs for Advisory were eliminated in favor of web-based to save money (immediately after being named #1 in training... something tells me that ranking isn't going to stick). The layoff procedure is not based on performance at all. Employees with positive feedback were laid off with no notice, while other employees with equal chargeability were not. There does not seem to be a method to the layoffs. Partners and upper managers have little to no interaction with staff. Staff right out of school in my group are treated as inferior due to lack of experience. They hired those individuals straight from school knowing they had only internship experience.
