Pros

1) Processes: They have processes in place, which is a good thing to learn if you are coming from a small/mid-sized company. 2) Good training program: They have portal for training programs and you can do as many as you like. They have a variety of programs, which is a good thing. 3) Cab facility: They have a good cab facility and fized timing. (This point hardly matters if you are not happy with the work)

Cons

Too many of them... 1) Research, Analytics and Knowledge, this wing itself is a con. The team size is of 250 and there are so many teams for smallest of work. Imagine there is a team which does only company profiling an industry analysis. This came as a shock to me! 2) If you are coming from a company, where you have done lots of ground work then this is not a company for you. There is lot of motonous work which goes around. I pitty freshers coming in this company because they don't get any exposure to the real work. 3) People here tell you to take responsiblities, but they don't allow you to take up the work which is very frustrating. They expect you to be proactive in things which you don't even have a clue about. 4) Managers don't like to tell anything for before hand — this is one thing which i faced a lot in KPMG. Even if you are a month old and not known to the processes, the managers expect you to beg in front of them so that they take out the information. 5) Too much politics from the position of manager to directors. In review meeting, you are even told that be humble with the director, regularly talk to them, say good morning, ask about their health and how well were their weekends, just to make them feel pleasant. It was even told that if you want to go up the ladder in this organization then you need to do this. 6) This one is the biggest one — shockingly the job description of complete RAK is only one. Well, this is what was told to me by the HR, and i am not sure how true it is. There have been so many cases like me that the wrong alignment with team has been done. The HR won't tell you that for which team have you been selected and then you end up being in any pathetic team. You might get processed for some team and then you might end up in a different team and then they will tell you about their 18 months policy of changing the team. This is pathetic if we see it from a big 4's perspective. This is unethical culture. 7) If you have worked with direct clients, then you won't like this company. There are only KPMG stakeholders with whom you deal with. Even the TL's are not allowed to sit in those calls. The stakeholders just give data entry work and some restructuring work. There is no analytical work and the stakeholder will give you any damn work i.e. copy pasting, structuring the data, beautification etc. 8) 'SHOWMANSHIP', how to show even a simple work as a strategic work. This is what is done in RAK. They press the panic button very fast for a work which can be easily done. There is never a negotiation in terms of timeline with the stakeholders.

Pros

Somewhat collaborative environment Wellhub Nothing else comes to mind

Cons

Laid off with no rhyme or reason- not performance based and I was actively staffed on projects. Coincidentally, it happened 2 weeks before my promised maternity leave. They were strategic enough to bring me on and let me go before I could receive a raise, bonus or 401K match. I’ll also add that for being a big 4, KPMG is extremely unorganized internally. You have to bookmark a million links for common sites and go tapping on shoulders for documentation to reference for clients
