Through the UPS Foundation Tree Grant, our global aim to plant 15 million trees by 2030 was aided by a project in Dublin. A group of UPSers gathered to plant 36 trees in Herbert Park with the help of Dublin City Council. The team learned more about native species, how to care for them, and the positive effects that they have on our environment. The volunteering day also boosted mental health and led to an increased community spirit, helping UPSers bond over an important and worthwhile day out....Show more

Starting as a delivery driver in Dublin, Shane has progressed to an Operations Manager role over his 11 years at UPS. His passion for rugby led him to join the Emerald Warriors RFC as a coach — an inclusive team for LGBTQ+ players formed in 2003, who compete at home and abroad. As a heterosexual man, joining the club helped him understand the challenges the gay community face playing the sport they love. Whether he’s working towards winning a match or supporting his team to help deliver packages, Shane’s allyship is helping him be a better coach, mentor and manager. “On a rugby pitch, there's a place for everyone.
