Procedure is very thorough and includes a panel interview. During this interview a presentation and demo is required on the Salesforce solution. Passing the panel and being the favoured candidate doesn't mean you get an offer, Salesforce needs to reconfirm the headcount before an offer can be extended.
in my case, although reassured it wasn't going to happen, I had to do the panel twice for different managers. i did get hired and do feel the panel gives a candidate also a good understanding of the solution you're going to work on and the company you're going to work for.
