I applied online to multiple Ross locations. About two weeks later when I had nearly forgotten about it, only one called me to come in for an interview (I had no retail experience prior to this). I went in for an interview a couple days later. It was with the store manager and assistant store manager. They asked me about my background, experience, how I would handle certain situations, my feedback regarding certain aspects of the store, etc. I was told they'd for sure call me the next day if I got the position. However, they didn't, and I was very disappointed. Then, they called the following day to tell me they had just been so busy they hadn't had a chance to call, but I did indeed get the position. The background check took at least a week (maybe longer). Then it was another week before I got to go in for training. The whole process, though easy, seemed to take very long. Also, because I was hired in June, I was considered a seasonal for three months. At that point, they would either let me go or make me permanent. Thankfully, I was offered permanent, but it's still only part-time.
