The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Microsoft

      Interview

The entire process took 2 months. There were ~3 rounds: 2 initial 1:1 interviews (R1), one day-long case study (R2, ~12 hours), and 4 additional 1:1 interviews as well as a panel discussion on the case study (R3, on one day). There was also an additional chat before this process. In total the interviews (excluding prep) for this process took about 20-25 hours. The 1:1 interviews were mostly behavioral and with short consulting-style case questions (e.g., brainstorming, market sizing, discussion of market conditions). The panel interview was an in-depth 1-hour discussion of the case, with 4-5 team members asking questions to the interviewee. One of the interviewers missed their interview slot. The team was relatively responsive throughout the process. An automated rejection message was sent from recruiting a few days after the final interview. The team was willing to provide feedback when reached out to afterwards.

      Interview

2 phone calls, one 45 minutes, the other 30 minutes, follow up interview with team in person. Pretty standard topics regarding my professional experiences, aspirations, the makeup of the team, and what it's like to work at Microsoft. Interviewed with a person actually in the role, and after pushing him about what he did on a day to day basis, he (seemingly reluctantly) admitted "mostly spreadsheets and powerpoints."

I applied online. I interviewed at Microsoft (Seattle, WA)

      Interview

I am still working through the interview process but this reflects the first couple of rounds. I started with an informational interview, then was asked by a recruiter to fill out a series of questions about what I was looking for, what my salary/location expectations were, and a few short answers about my experience (e.g., tell me about a strategic project you did). The next interview was a 45 minute Teams interview to "assess my quantitative and qualitative capabilities". I had expected this to be a case interview with a math portion, but instead, it was thought questions about LLMs. I was pretty surprised, but enjoyed the open-ended nature of the questions more than if it had been a case.
