I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Macy's (Woodbridge, NJ) in Sept 2013
Interview
I spent a lot of time on here researching the questions they might ask and hoping I could remember to answer the questions right without sounding like a machine. I did the normal application online and received an email to set up my interview which I set up for a week and half later. I went in a half hour early, as I waited I made small talk with staff that walked into HR. Found out two people did not even show up for interviews, so in my head I was like YES I am a shoe in. she asked the standard questions how would I upsell jeans, how would I market the credit card. Do not mention upselling with merchandise that is on sale. She didnt like that. After my interview she said let me check the job board. And came back and said unfortuntely they don't have any jobs. I was so dissapointed, She did say she would keep my app and call me if something came up. And she did a couple of days later. Thank goodness, I really needed this.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Orlando, FL)
Interview
Virtue first. Then, at the store. Interview questions are not hard but hiring manager/s are sketchy. They posted part time positions but when I got into the interview they said their looking for people wanting full time job. So unprofessional to take my time.
I applied online. I interviewed at Macy's (Pittsburgh, PA)
Interview
Basic interview process. Applied online and was called in for an interview about a week later. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. No assessments needed. I talked about 2 managers.
