      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at LinkedIn (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2015

      Interview

Was contacted via recruiter on LinkedIn. Initial phone interview plus sent in application. Recruiter was also in Global Sales and had just started so did not know much about company. Asked basic life questions about what I was studying, experience, life goals, and what interested me in sales. Did not receive call back.

      Question 1

Talked mainly about what was on my resume.

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn (New York, NY) in Oct 2015

      Interview

First round interview was on-campus. Moved to the final round at the LinkedIn Invitational a week later in the New York Office. The recruiters themselves were very friendly and helpful throughout the process, but the people actually conducting the interviews were not prepared, not engaging, and quite frankly seemed like they couldn't wait to get out of the room. My first interviewer had never read the case she gave me and then forgot to give me the handout. The second guy talked more about himself throughout the interview and didn't seem interested in getting to know me at all. Most of the day was actually spent trying to convince everyone there for the final round to actually accept the offer were it extended, because apparently everyone hates the Sales Rotational program and people immediately try to get off the Sales track once their rotation is over. Overall, quite an awkward experience just due to the fact that LinkedIn brings in a group of 15-20 college seniors all fighting for the same position and throws food and swag at you and tries to make you friends. I was more excited about interviewing with the company beforehand, and then following the Invitational Day, it became apparent that they haven't mastered the recruiting process yet. I was notified 3 weeks later that I did not receive an offer.
