I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Dublin, Dublin) in Nov 2023
Interview
The interview process is very thorough and took 3 weeks start to finish.
I had an amazing recruiter (Laurie Winters) who ensured I was as prepared for each stage as I possibly could be. I had an initial screening call with Laurie and then 3 interviews with managers.
Each interview was based on the STAR formula. I did a lot of preparation before each interview to ensure I performed to the best of my abilities.
The interviewers were all genuinely lovely, no trick questions or anything I hadn't been briefed about beforehand.
They literally give you all of the information you need to pass the interview. If you have 7 different scenarios prepared in the STAR format beforehand you can tailor them to the questions.
A challenge you faced
Feedback you have had and how you handled it
Your best accomplishment
There are also non STAR questions such as how to build a territory, how you prospect etc...
It's very important to align your answers to Hubspots culture code (HEART). This is what you are scored on.
Overall it was a great experience and if you prepare and follow the above advice you should do well.
It's a rigorous process but if you be yourself and showcase your abilities it's not as daunting as it seems.
Lean on your recruiter for as much advice as possible.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you plan your territory
Tell me a time you failed
Tell me some feedback you received and how you dealt with it
Tell me about your worst deal
Why do you want to work at Hubspot
The interview process was intensive, but your Recruiter will give you all the info along the way. First a recruiter calls, then a role-play & segment manager call, followed and 1.5 hour call with two different leaders on the team

Question 1
Where do the majority of deals you work come from?

Interview
