I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at H&M (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2015
Interview
I applied to all the stores available in SF and got a call later that week for a phone screening where they basically ask about your previous work history and if they like you they'll schedule you an in person interview. Once you get the in person interview, it's a review of your work history with the store manager and if they continue to like you then you fill out the background check and are called back to schedule another and final interview with the district manager(?). Again, another review of your work history. If that goes well, they hire you and do paperwork. Just be yourself, it's really relaxed and somewhat casual!
I applied online. I interviewed at H&M (Dundalk) in Mar 2026
Interview
It was lovely, very interactive. Getting to meet new people, seeing the H&M store was really nice. The supervisor was really professional and warm. First we got to know each other, then did a question and answers round with everyone, situation based, customer service based, questions to display your skills etc, talking about H&M values and then we had a group task, to come with a outfit based on the provided situation.
I applied online. I interviewed at H&M (Brighton, England) in Jan 2026
Interview
Group interview, asked us questions like what's our hobbies and why do we want to work at H&M. We then had to work in pairs to choose the importance of certain scenarios that we may come across. We then were given a scenario in a group and had to go around the shop and choose an outfit suitable for that scenario. We ended the interview being asked two random questions about the brand or anything in general.
