    1.0

    I worked at H&M

    Pros

Meet lots of good people Good values

    Cons

You only progress in this company if you are friends with the right people. Inexperienced new managers in roles they should not be in. You are only a number in this company I did not even get a response when I resigned and it was due to health reasons. Disappointing because they talk about progression and feedback yet higher up management do not follow up with new store managers. No follow up in the company so unless you are friends with the right people or no how to talk the talk you will not go far. Our store manager just sat in the office all day. Work/life balance does not exists if you do not have a strong store manager. Working as a manager for over ten years in retail this is the worst company I have ever worked for and I would not recommend.

I worked at H&M full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Discount is probably the only pro.

    Cons

Staff turnover (especially in management) is extremely extremely high. Head office employees are best friends with store managers so you don’t feel you can get help if you’re having any problems. Store managers also spread gossip between eachother which then gets told to floor staff. Workload that is expected is way too much especially given the money. Store managers get away with murder ie, leaving early and giving themselves plenty of tome off around busy period. No contact between head office and floor staff/management . Favouritism and bullying from store managers is exceptionally rampant.
