I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at H&M (Vancouver, BC) in Mar 2015
Interview
Process took a week.
I got a phone interview first, they asked me what I knew about the company, what days I'm available, past work experience, etc. Then we scheduled an in-person interview
When I arrived I asked one of the people at the cash where I should go for an interview, she seemed irritated that I was pulling her from her work but no one told me where I should go for the interview. I was brought into the lunch room and was just placed amongst the other co-workers at the table, who didn't say a single word to me. This made me even more anxious. The plus side is that the Interviewers make you feel super comfortable, and ask basically the exact same questions that they did on the phone interview.
They offered my the job two hours later.

Interview
It was lovely, very interactive. Getting to meet new people, seeing the H&M store was really nice. The supervisor was really professional and warm. First we got to know each other, then did a question and answers round with everyone, situation based, customer service based, questions to display your skills etc, talking about H&M values and then we had a group task, to come with a outfit based on the provided situation.
I applied online. I interviewed at H&M (Brighton, England) in Jan 2026
Interview
Group interview, asked us questions like what's our hobbies and why do we want to work at H&M. We then had to work in pairs to choose the importance of certain scenarios that we may come across. We then were given a scenario in a group and had to go around the shop and choose an outfit suitable for that scenario. We ended the interview being asked two random questions about the brand or anything in general.
