Emerging Leaders Program Interview

Anonymous Employee in Orlando, FL (US)

Positive Experience
Average Interview

Application

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at EY (Orlando, FL (US)).

Interview

First interview was a pre-recorded interview where you record a video response for each question. There were 5 questions and you could re-do your response up to 3 times per question.
Second interview was a pre-interview dinner.
Third interview was a on-campus interview.

The first interview is purely behavioral questions, while the second and third interviews are social and talking interviews. You most likely will meet your on-campus interviewer at the dinner before, so the on-campus interview is easy.

Interview Questions

  • Explain a time you challenged the ways things have been done. What was your idea and how did you build support for it?   Answer Question
  • How did you motivate and keep team members accountable during a team project?   Answer Question

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at EY (Philadelphia, PA (US)) in March 2019.

    Interview

I applied through my school's online website. First interview was a pre-recorded interview, and then I was invited to do an on campus interview a week after. It was two back to back 30 minute behavioral interviews and it was basically just a rundown of my resume and a couple of easy behavioral questions on teamwork. I applied to another office besides the Philadelphia office so it took a week until I received my decision. The recruiter from the other office called me and told me about my acceptance.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at EY (Atlanta, GA (US)).

    Interview

It was an enjoyable process. Applied through the university website and was invited to submit an online interview which composed of answering 3 behavioral questions, but you're given three tries for each question. Was invited for an on-campus interview two weeks later where I met with a Manager for 30 minutes. It started with the typical "so tell me about yourself" question. Just make sure to prepare and have a set of answers for the top behavioral questions (simple search on Google will suffice) using the STAR method. The manager I interviewed with called me 6 days later offering me a spot at the ELP.

    Interview Questions

    Interview

The interviews were all very conversational. Just be yourself and prepare for the basic questions. Also, just as a side tip for everyone, be at the interview at least 10 minutes early to just relax and get yourself into the right but calm mindset.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at EY.

    Interview

There were three interviews. The first was a pre-recorded online interview that I didn't think I did well in, the second was two back-to-back interviews on campus, and the third was an interview with an executive in the service line and location I wanted to pursue. The second interview was more conversational and they walked with me through my resume. The third interview was very fun and easy. I received my offer shortly after over email.

Was invited to a first-round video interview where you submit questions and have 3 attempts to record. Later got an e-mail invitation to a second round on campus. They are very friendly people! It's mostly behavioral questions, but also lots of discussion about their experiences, so have your own questions and a positive attitude!
