I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Vancouver, BC) in May 2025
Interview
I got out of OA although I did solve and past both questions after a gruesome 1 month debugging with HackerRank platform where they configured webpack wrong. They didn't really provide much assistance by the end and said live reload doesn't work with webpack (Funny).
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Amazon in Jul 2022
Interview
Zoom call with shared editor to demonstrate answers to questions with examples. Interviewer seems to be very skilled in the interview process. Questions are pretty general, but need to show deep understanding of what you've been asked

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon (Toronto, ON) in Nov 2022
Interview
The recruiter reached out to me. After completing a job expectation survey, a phone screening interview was scheduled directly for me (no OA). On the interview day, I waited for 35min but the interviewer didn't show up. I contacted the recruiter during that time, but it wasn't until late that night did I get a response. The recruiter asked me to schedule a time to chat. He said in the chat that they were told Amazon was no longer hiring the role one day before my interview. It was interesting that I confirmed 7 days before my interview if it was canceled since their job website said I was no longer under consideration. But I was told that it was not canceled and that they were still actively hiring. I know things change, but still feel very disappointed about this experience for two reasons: 1. They were able to let me know before my interview of the cancelation but they didn't 2. It was possible that they were too busy and forgot about me, but they could still let me know during the interview or early that day since I reached out. My email should be a reminder to them that there was a candidate that they forgot to notify. Candidates spend a lot of time and energy to prepare for interviews. Hope companies can respect that. Positive things about this experience were: - They sent me details about what they value for this role and their company, so I was clear about what I might be expecting - They arranged for the interview quickly - They answered my confirmation of the interview.
