      Application

I interviewed at Accenture (Houston, TX) in Sept 2022

      Interview

This was hands down one of the best interviews I’ve had in my life, lol I’m only 22, but I’ve definitely been on plenty of them. There were two 45 minute interviews, that requires you to dress smart casual. Anyway, the first part of the interview was a technology showcase and scenarios interview . This portion of your interview requires one element of preparation prior to your scheduled interviews. You will receive a set of instructions a few days before your interview asking you to prepare an idea that you will discuss with your interviewer. This section of the interview took about 20 minutes (including a 10-minute discussion on your topic and 10 minutes for questions). They have you prepare a new idea on how one of the following technologies Accenture currently utilizes could be applied to benefit a specific industry of your choice. During this same portion, the interviewer will also present you with challenges you may face at Accenture and ask how you would approach the scenarios. The next 45 minute interview was a strengths based interview. The Strengths-Based Interview will consist of a series of questions presented to you by your interviewer. This conversation seeks to understand how you would approach situations, as well as what you enjoy. Please be ready to discuss your experiences, be yourself and answer the questions as authentically as possible. Literally what they told me!!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How often are you creative or in a creative mindset and what was the last thing you’ve created or channeled your creativity towards? (I couldn’t remember exactly so it’s not worth it where but it definitely captures the question they were asking)
      Answer question
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Accenture (Houston, TX) in Apr 2015

      Interview

I applied online, but knew a manager that worked at Accenture. She was able to forward my resume to a recruiter and expedite the review process. 1st Interview: Phone screen with recruiter. Just going over your resume, experience, and motivations. You should be able to talk about yourself and why you want to get into consulting and work for Accenture. 2nd Interview: About a week after the first interview. Also a phone interview with a different recruiter. This was about an hour of behavioral questions. I don't recall specifics, but nothing out of the ordinary. The tone of the interview was very conversational and it is apparent they want a clear idea of who you are and if you can work well in a team. Final interview: This was scheduled about a month after the 2nd Interview. In person interview at an Accenture office. This happens in three stages over about three hours. The first hour you meet casually with current analysts to discuss the nature of the position. During this time they'll go over the expectations of an analyst, their experience, and answer your questions (come with a lot, there is plenty of time). Second hour is the case interview with a manager or managing director. The last is a conversational interview (more a confirmation). This is basically talking about your background, how you work in teams, leadership experience, and why you want to work for Accenture. Some behavioral questions are sprinkled in, but again it was largely informal. I have a feeling that the case interview was the most significant portion of this interview process.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Case interview is based off of manager's real experience with a project. These are much more qualitative than a MBB. Be ready to show your problem solving process and make rational recommendations. Victor Cheng's frameworks are a useful guide, though the analyst cases are far easier. There was no computation portion in this case.

Management Consulting Development Program Analyst Interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Accenture

      Interview

Applied through my career center after attending a number of information sessions. I had a great perception of Accenture until my interview when my interviewer just watched me struggling with the case for 25 min without collaborating (I've gotten positive feedback/moved on/ received offers from my last 20+ case interviews so I can say this was not normal). All the questions after revolved around Accenture (e.g. what research have you done, how are our management and strategy practices different...)

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The case revolved around optimizing temporary worker usage
