What is the salary like at eBay?

I haven’t experienced any downsides here. It’s a great place to work.

There’s a lot of opportunity to make good money here, and you have the ability to work in eBay offices in other countries, though it comes with a pay cut unless you are moving to the US.

This company is a bit of a mess. Their tech is old and poorly maintained. Their architecture in every area I’ve worked in has been a complete disaster. They try things, go through an org change, and drop all those things on the floor and start another thing. This happens over and over, which is largely why it’s such a mess. And no, not all tech companies are like this.

Good pay and work from home. If you have great social skills and know how to deal with difficult calls. You should be fine.

KPIs are unreasonable. Majority of the job is delivering NOs to customers. KPI is based on the surveys that members fill after each call. So it is difficult to control. Do what ever you can to pass probation. It is very very performance based. Job security is based of those surveys members fill.

Many times you are expected to do so much more than your job title, with no incentives. The culture in the company has greatly changed, for the worse- they are not employee centric at all anymore.
