Think twice before joining
4 Apr 2023 - Customer Support in Dublin, DublinRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Decent corporate structure, with the usual perks and added benefits of being able to fully work remotely.
Cons
The level of incompetency is astonishing, especially from the management structure. The current TL is under qualified for her role, being a temp for a long time and not succeeding to move to perm. Constantly dealing with urgent issues, nothing end being done properly. Senior management decided to increase our portfolio by 60%, a project that had been discussed for months prior launching. We were not made aware of such an increase and change of process: The day this went live, we received so many calls and emails that even our TL asked us why we had so many dropped calls...while she was aware the change was coming. The irony was obviously lost somewhere: No leadership, planning, communication. Management 101 to be honest. All in all, shocking experience: Extremely bad and old tools, vague processes, moved from a inbound sales-ish role to full on support role with zero communication, very poor management in general, which is applicable to the N2 since he's more interested in getting exposure by posting charity events in slacks than actually working on his role...you better think twice before joining this team.

Bad for mental health
15 Mar 2023 - Customer Service RepresentativeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Company pays very well Training provided
Cons
Job was in Republic of Ireland option not there. If your happy for people to scream and abuse you on the phone all day long for errors they made as they chose to buy or sell here then this is the job for you. So bad for your mental health you have to deal with the abuse and can't disconnect until 3 warnings are given which is impossible when you can't get a word in. The surveys that customers can leave you to view are so awful and deflating. Not acceptable for any company to let members of the public speak to their agents the way they do its disgusting I used to come off calls crying and shaking its not worth the money. Members of the public should be penalised by eBay for talking to people like that my confidence is gone thanks to this job. Don't work for them unless your made of stone.

Sick pay , 5 week paid holidays
Cons
Team leaders make stories in 121 and that they will support in devloping you or your carrer but they never do . They reject you every time they get an opportunity for growth . They only give an opportunity to Irish who are in their group only. Ebay Ireland is fully of -: Neoptisim Favortism Racism They say that they are diversified inclusive etc but they are non of it. They want to pull your leg every time they get an opportunity.
