I have joined this company because of its mission and the product really does work to boost people’s confidence and a sense of belonging in the workplace. Our CEO has believed in it and we do too, and that’s not something you can take for granted because you have to work on it every single day. I believe that all of us can make the changes we want to see reflected in the workplace and that starts with our own daily interactions regardless of our titles. Let’s continue being kind to one another and drive the mission forward of making every workplace in the world more human.
Cons
We are going through the experience of living in economic uncertainty and that is always hard to navigate through. My only feedback for the company is to stay true throughout its communications so everybody can be on the same page.

Internal recognition, remote working, gym
Cons
Outdated technology, declarations of improvements to be done for the last at least five years with no progress, poor management recruitment decisions. What worse is the breach of trust and poor communication. With the recent layoff plans a lot of people were placed into risk groups unnecessarily. This process is different from department to department and nobody seems to know if its even legal. Company response is very poor, delayed and by the book while people need answers now and proactively. Declarations of company being generous are simply not true compared to market companies in similar situation. Internal feedback tool has been disabled. The office recently expanded into second building introducing more space, meeting rooms and gym. What seemed like a fantastic benefit to have now becoming obvious of very poor planning with people being made redundant. I wonder how many jobs could have been saved.
Continue readingThank you for taking the time to write this review. The decision to restructure was an extremely difficult one for us and we are heartbroken by the decision. We’re committed to being generous and helpful with any individuals impacted. The “at risk” process is 100% guided by the legal requirements of a collective redundancy and is fully consistent across all departments. The people in the At Risk group have been provided with full information as we move through the 30 day consultation period and have self-appointed representatives for any specific queries to the leadership involved in the process. We appreciate this is an extremely challenging time and process for all involved. We are doing our best to make people feel supported and informed. The offer to discuss these reviews is genuine, please feel like you can approach me in confidence.

It’s not a great place to work

* Its employee recognition program works well within the company. * Benefits
Cons
* Inadequate leadership starting from the highest level. * Lack of clarity in the promotion process. * The Dublin office is situated in an unsafe area. * Bonuses are tied to unattainable goals. * During the recent layoffs, the company provided minimal support to employees and failed to actively engage with them. * Trust in management and the company culture has been severely damaged in recent months. * There are significant concerns regarding pay equity, which were brought up with HR, but they chose to dismiss the issue and claimed it had already been resolved.

Pros
The people and the product
Cons
Serious lack of empathy. Top heavy management with no respect for employees, very poor communication and transparency. The current redundancy process is a perfect example . This process was so badly handled.. vague comms from the start . Selection criteria a joke ..when challenged to provide specific detail , refused to do this instead providing a generic template to all. No information on what the new org structure was going to be and why certain people did not fit. The entire redundancy process has brought a lot of unnecessary anxiety not only to those at high risk but everyone. This was an opportunity for WH to honour its values of respect for the human and conduct a fair process that was objective transparent and respectful. Instead their conduct has been a real disappointment with long lasting consequences.. trust is gone and the culture destroyed. For those leaving with a package they are the lucky ones!

Thank you for sharing your feelings. We acknowledge the redundancy process is a difficult and stressful time for all. We are strictly governed by the legalities of the process and have been limited in what we can communicate to the organisation while this process is underway. Once it has been completed, we will be in a position to discuss many of the items you refer to above. We are asking for patience and understanding in the interim.

Falling to pieces, but it’s what the company deserves for bad treatment of loyal staff.

Vhi family plan and breakfast
Cons
Staff layoffs. Staff Made redundant. all the employees that gave many years service to the company got laid off and they kept staff that were hired during Covid. This shows everything that workhuman preaches is a PR stunt in order to get new customer. The reality is, they don’t care about their own employees so why would they care about their customers. Any company considering joining this company should think again.

Growing Pains .. but still a great place to work
4 Apr 2023 - Anonymous Employee in Dublin, DublinRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
People are amazing, helpful, kind, smart and most are there because of the impact the product has on people's happiness and wellbeing at work. This tends to attract a certain type of person. The company has been growing a lot over the last few years which means there is lots of change and opportunities to influence changes in processes and ways of working. This means a fast paced work environment, which is exciting. Recognition platform is a great perk but also a great way to see whats going on in departments you aren't connected to much.
Cons
As with any fast growing company, processes need to change at the same pace. There will always be a lag in that respect which can be frustrating if you need to work in a super structured and rigid environment. If you like change though then you would enjoy it here.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feelings. As you are aware we are currently in the middle of a workforce reduction which is a difficult and emotional time for all. Adhering to this process limits the amount of communication we can deliver until the process is complete. We are asking for patience and understanding while we focus first on the people directly impacted, we will then turn or attention to supporting those of us that continue to contribute to the future of the organisation. I want to address the issue of pay equity, as this is important to our organization and the industry and we are proud of the work we have done. Our pay equity stats are freely available on our website and our Pay Equity analysis shows that Workhuman provides equal pay to both men and women for similar work across the company. It also shows that employees are paid fairly regardless of age at Workhuman. If you would like to discuss specific information on your role, we encourage you to connect with your HX strategy partner to engage in a dialogue on specifics.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feelings. As stated in some responses below, it has been a very difficult period for all involved in the run up to, and implementation of, our redundancy process. We were very limited in the communications we could provide and during the redundancy process our focus had to be on the people most directly impacted. As this draws to a close now, we will be in a better position to communicate more openly to the whole organisations about our future strategies. Your feedback, as with all reviews where positive or poor, are taken onboard and discussed openly with relevant leaders in the business. We value the learning opportunity. Thanks again for your comments.
