Pros

Great colleagues (to share the suffering with)

Cons

While the job is though in terms of time management and performance targets, it would be a fulfilling enough role if management not so controlling. They do not lead in terms of mentorship or support but by simply cracking the whip disguising this under a very fake “happy” company culture. And god help you if you fail to meet your targets because HR will be on your back offering a personal improvement plan which really means they already plan on firing without any repercussions for them. Also HR demand you fill in a sickness sheet for ANY day of sickness stating WHY you are sick. This is a complete invasion of privacy. Three instances of sickness and you are brought before HR to answer for yourself. Complete intimidation tactics.

Pros

Nice office spaces, low hierarchies, free chocolates, nice corporate colours

Cons

Unflexible working hours, bonus structure changes on a regular basis to the misadvantage of the employees, only two paid sick days PER YEAR (which is very poor for European standards in fulltime positions), fake friendliness, overwhelmed management

Exploitative Company

Pros

Not your typical "office" environment. They try to promote a friendly, positive culture

Cons

The promotion of this culture is to cover the real essence of this company. Most people leave within 8-10 months and for good reason. Performance expectations rise with each month and failure to meet your metrics will result in negative attention from your team leader, who themselves are under pressure to meet targets. This is pretty normal for this type of industry except Wayfair lead you to believe they are fundamentally good people who value transparency in business management. From my experience and what I have seen from working here they are anything but. These 5 star "reviews" attest to this behaviour: fake and manipulative.
