Pros

Some of the staff members were legitimately great people.

Cons

Whatever your career path may be, Project Solutions, Inc. is not what you're looking for. It is never a good sign when the owner and upper management of the company can't adequately describe what the company does. ("We'll do anything! If you have a problem, we have a solution.") This is a sign to anyone that you should be looking elsewhere. In my nearly 2 years with the company, I saw an incredible amount of turnover of both lower level staff and upper management. When the company struggled to pay salaries, the owner fired critical personnel before the friends she had hired. One of the many reasons for the high turnover rate is low employee personnel. The expertise and education of personnel is ignored, and people often find themselves completing work they have no interest or background in. Additionally, the owner has taken it upon herself to simultaneously micromanage and control every aspect of each employees job while refusing to complete any actual work herself. Everything the company does is completed at the last possible moment and without any effort from upper management. This should be a warning to any government agency or private firm considering hiring PSI for a project. Your project doesn't matter enough to be consistently staffed or completed on time, and the owner undoubtedly has a rolodex of excuses ready to explain why. I cannot stress the importance of avoiding this company enough. I hope everyone currently employed there can eventually find a way to escape this miserable business.

If you have a choice - do not work here - run away

Pros

There are none except to receive a paycheck each pay period.

Cons

This is a terrible place to work. The micromanaging by the CEO and her senior leaders creates a terrible work environment. She blames everything on everyone else, but if something is good, then she takes the credit. Not once does she praise staff for doing good work and they expect you to work all the time. The quality person talks about everyone else and stirs up issues claiming things are said that aren't true. They listen to everyones conversations and if you work here you'll be watched at every moment and tattled on. They do not share any profits or give any bonuses to the ones who manage the projects. If certain people don't like you, you will not be included, you will be removed or just fired.

Poor Leadership and lack of integrity

Pros

Limited flexibility, pay was decent, nice coworkers when they stuck around, sometimes fun thanks to HR.

Cons

Lack of leadership and direction. Employees are micromanaged and not trusted to do their job by upper management and CEO. Zero accountability from the owner. Everything is everyone else's fault. Very limited training. They will bid on any job and lie on proposals. Owner only sees dollar signs and doesn't truly value employees or customers. Everything is last minute and expected to be completed with perfection without guidance or training, no clear vision. Owner was gone during critical deadlines when decisions needed to be made by her. The Owner and the CFO only care about two things- playing pickleball and lining their pockets.
