Pros

Pareto has a knack for finding enthusiastic, energy filled people Strong sense of community between peers Training is consistent Trainers and some of the management are genuinely great people who are fantastic teachers and mentors

Cons

Pareto also has a knack for wearing down enthusiastic, energy filled people Leadership is a clique and a club, and feels very disconnected from the wider company You are just another young person they can hire, used to squeeze a large amount of work out of for a very modest salary and comission structure Very "Carrot on a stick" progression structure, with unrealistic targets Leadership and management has not cold called themselves in years and will preach to you about their glory days none stop, while offering very little practical training, and it will be your fault for not understanding why their taught theory isn't working

Pros

Some good people willing to help when you need it

Cons

What has happened to this company? I worked there for a little while and I have seen MANY changes, none of them good. Leaders of this business are autocratic in their leadership style and just give instruction for change without any quantifiable justification and this is communicated in a rushed manner without any consideration of how messages land and the impact they have on the people they affect. Senior Leadership really have no grasp of what is happening at the coal face. Communication is terrible as there are inconsistencies in messages from a variety of people none of which will take responsibility - easy to pass it off as someone else's inability when really the mirror needs to be held up. There are also individuals who will be nice to your face but will throw you under the bus when the chips are down. Big blame culture. Staff are subjected to constant change, there are some significant failings of senior leaders that have been passed off/pacified by blaming others. Performance management and micromanagement are abundant here. Over complicated procedures and processes mean you get bogged down in unnecessary red tape. There are many people who were feeling extremely stressed and it made me uncomfortable seeing colleagues struggling to cope. Pareto says that it cares for its apprentices which is mainly true however the same cannot be said for their own staff. Large turnover. Seen some amazing, talented people go as they simply had enough of the toxic bureaucratic culture. Nothing you do will be good enough. You are led to believe that the grass is not greener on the other side - I can categorically tell you that it is. I had to get out before I lost my soul and my mental health was seriously affected. Avoid avoid avoid!

Pros

Excellent training, the trainers are class and really supportive. The people are generally very sound and fun to work with. There is a clear and defined progression process giving you something to work towards (although not stuck to 100% of the time). If you are a grafter and like hitting the pub after work, you’ll enjoy the culture.

Cons

The compensation isn’t that great for the work you put in. You will often find clients you work with offering better base salaries and commission for “easier” (sales and recruitment is always a challenge no matter where) roles. Management in fairness can be supportive at times but are often slow to take on suggested improvements. Up to a certain level you will find a lot of micromanagement and a lack of flexibility.
