Pros

Overall a decent workplace and environment. Had some good people and management (previously). Brand new office and free on-site parking. Global well-known brand and flexible working arrangement. You may bring your dogs and kids into office too. I used to enjoy my role and was supported by previous management who cared. Had some fun events such as AMG drive day. You can lease company car but it can be expensive. Otherwise you can loan a car or van for free 2 weeks per year which is handy.

Cons

You have to jump through multiple hoops to meet the minimum criteria in order to queue up for next promotion (if any). Yet you cannot just sign up for the programs you have to be nominated, unless there's not enough people enrolling then your manager will ask you to join just to make up the numbers. You can skip the queue if you are from external, have connection or being a specific gender. Many experienced people left in the last 2 years and I have seen a whole team left due to poor management. Internal roles are usually filled by someone already so don't bother applying plus you won't get a reply anyway. When you applied externally at least you would get a generic response. Very insulting yet they always talk about developing and growing our employees. Expats are here on working holiday and their family expenses paid for. First year to learn the market, second year to try doing something and third year planning their next holiday destination. While the company talks about cost saving and lower profit. They are still too proud of the Mercedes brand yet management are already complaining about the issues and quality of their company cars. Always down-playing the threats from competitors, how "we do not compete" with other mainstream brands. But sales results show otherwise. Most of the management are "products" of Mercedes because they have been here for years, and will be with the brand until they retire which is fine. But how can a company improve with the same people and mindsets that have never seen the other side? Brand partner and financial services do not work closely together causing budgets being wasted and campaigns not being effective. This is due to incompetent and arrogant people from both sides. Task from another team will be delegated to you because for some strange reasons they don't know how. They will sell this to you as a learning opportunity. Recognition is based on how much you shoe-shine and how friendly you are with management. To make it worse my Manager did not even bother setting up an exit interview which is actually for their own benefit. This shows you how blinded they are. My time at the company has been cut short as I can no longer tolerate what I have seen here and I can't change them anyway. I felt that the more I put in the less others will do leading to a zero sum game. Therefore I have decided to move on and that's the best outcome for both parties.

Pros

- The current company management seem to be big on staff warfare - There is good work/Life balance -Salaries are paid on time same with pension and HMO cover for staff - they close for the year -Trainings - subsidized lunch - works tools are provided on time in some cases yearly

Cons

- Some managers are bullies and that needs to be checked - a lot of favoritism at the expense of actual people doing the work - There is no standard pay structure, salaries are based on can beg on your behalf - the salary is not commensurate to the work being done - The recruitment process is flawed too many family members in the system. -no clear path of growth, like someone has to leave before one can be promoted

Great but for how long

Pros

Good middle and lower management and experienced engineer base. Solid workforce at Team Member level who are always willing to go above and beyond for the company.

Cons

Executive management and HR need to be cleaned out. 90's work culture mindset and non-degreed (unqualified) individuals in such roles do not possess the necessary skills or knowledge to bring the company to the forefront of the industry or rally the workforce towards a single goal efficiently.

Pros

Not a very strict company. Working hands-on on premium cars.

Cons

Management does not care about the employees performance. This results in lazy employees being able to keep their positions, while engaged ones get more work without being valued.
