Was once a good company

Pros

I enjoyed the clean, professional environment in which the original founder enforced. Very google-esque with putting green, bean bags, PlayStation etc. Free coffee and very much a clean desk system. The original founder was clean on his vision for the company and looked for opportunities to be different in the market. Didn't like to discount services and wanted to drive value into every deal. A good approach to business. The customer base is fairly typical of an ISP, 80% of the revenue from 20% of the client base. Definitely more focus on enterprise sales rather than partner business, likely due to the higher margins. That team definitely had more attention. Once the founder sold the company it went down hill; overnight.

Cons

Post sale the business became less interested in staff retention and care, removing the unlimited holiday, birthday amazon vouchers and team events - and instead was managed by margin hungry "old school" thinking management team who financially had their backs against the wall every month, which meant aggressive bullying for sales and multiple target/commission alterations.

Pros

There are a few good people left, but most have jumped ship, easily the worst job I have ever had.

Cons

- Pay rises are non-existent or tiny. - Morale has been dismal for a couple of years now, It just feels like you're on a slowly sinking ship. - People are often fired, made redundant or forced out. - Staff resignations are very common, often multiple at a time. - Severe lack of skills and lack of knowledge as a result of staff continuously leaving the company. - Pretty much every major decision made by the upper management team has made the company function worse as a business or made morale worse. - The managers won’t take responsibility for their mistakes, they will just blame all the problems on whoever resigned recently. - The managers pretend to listen to you, but you may as well be speaking to a brick wall as they don't care for what you have to say. - Clients are always leaving due to poor quality service as a result of the managements decisions and cost cuttings. TLDR: Terrible upper management. Avoid like the plague.

Great Idea, terrible execution

Pros

Good vision from CEO. Still a strong base to build from if they change quick. Some really good people at all sites.

Cons

C Level only take feedback from regional directors, this doesn't represent the true feelings of the site and masks the reality. No "group" cohesion. Fractured sites. Poor sales strategy to execute the BHAG. Willing to let good experienced people leave and not replace which leaves the remaining stretched, under pressure and out of their depth.
