I have been working at Fenergo full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    • you can learn a lot about technology, • some genuine good and kind people are working there

    Cons

    • Fenergo has organisation restructure every year, • Only way to progress career is to change department, • People on project are stretched and pushed to limits, • Its hard to tell direction where company is going there is a different story every year Company has good marketing so you shouldn't blindly trust everything you read in newspapers, • You read how "Fenergo turn pandemic crisis into opportunity but then on company update they announce no bonus and pay raise" • So many people left company but they manage to spin that story how they will hire another 100 people There is also mirage story about IPO but only upper management get share options

I have been working at Fenergo full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Work with some really knowledgeable people - When in the office there is occasionally lunch provided - Office in a decent location

    Cons

    - Has a real finger pointing culture instead of helping employees grow and learn - A lot of expected overtime - Managers in positions without the adequate skills and experience - Upper management do not listen to idea's from employee's below them - No real career progression if you are not in the 'click' - Only project managers and product consultants get any praise when a project goes well but in the instance it goes bad it is the developers problem/fault - Too much is promised before starting a piece of work, which puts everyone on the back foot from the start

I have been working at Fenergo full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Fenergo has pivoted really well to remote working. I feel that I have been very supported to do my job effectively while still being able to prioritise family. I have the equipment that I need, the technology works and the availability of everything from training materials, company communications to weekly exercise classes has been super.

    Cons

Missing out on getting to know new people

I have been working at Fenergo full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great culture, smart colleagues, flexible working arrangements, great little perks hampers gift vouchers etc. Very supportive and just a nice place to work overall.

    Cons

Work life balance can be an issue on some projects. Management structure is to decentralised which can mean accountability gaps. Big enough company but still has start up mentality. Suffering from some growing pains.

I worked at Fenergo full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Young company with growth. Reasonable but still below average benefits

    Cons

Unfortunately the managers should not be in their positions in the first place. Managers are displaying high levels of favouritism in how specific employees are treated. Outright bullying tactics used against others. Even if you make a complaint about the treatment to senior management it falls on deaf ears and is excused by something else. Company requires for you to take extensive additional duties without any recognition or salary increase. Due to the nature of Fenergo being an international company long hours are required. Unfortunately due to all the stress and treatment along with the long hours it made no sense for me to stay there any longer. I have since resigned and went to work somewhere.

"Almost near impossible to progress in this company"

I have been working at Fenergo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

They are a lot of good members of staff looking to progress their careers. A lot of hard and dedicated workers. Employees at a similar level are very supportive (it's management who are not supportive)

    Cons

Where to begin.... The cracks in the company become apparent within half a year. As I said you have a lot of great and hard working people who will always give their best, however the feeling amongst a lot of employess since covid hit is pure demotivation. There is a lot of people in lead and management roles who get away with murder. There are a lot of employees in a lead role who are very good and then you have others who just delegate, delegate and delegate. Employees from Mid-level and below do not get their voice heard; your lead/line manager speaks for you n internal calls with management and nothing happens in return. I have heard on numerous occasions of leads taking credit (publicly I may add) for doing a piece of work that was done by someone at my level or similar. You will be asked to work the odd weekend or evening which is understandable and the leads on your project will be present too; it would be nice though if they actually added value to this overtime and be active with testing/developing rather than letting the people below do all the work and then take credit on internal management calls for work they did not do or help with. I have been on projects where I have had to guide my QA lead in how to test the product, how to do certain types of testing/pieces of work which doesn't seem right. You have people you know how to work management very well, as in you have people who say the right things and get themselves in a kliq with the right people and you see very odd/illogical promotions within the company. No one is perfect. That is human nature. Unfortunately if you do one thing 'wrong' or 'not to managements liking' with maybe a task for example; your reputation takes a big hit and seem to outweigh all the good things and the value you have brought to the company.

I have been working at Fenergo full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The company has accelerated through the current pandemic, leadership have been very transparent throughout- reassuring everyone of job security in the initial stages of covid and now plans for future growth and career progression. The people are great and the support for staff regardless of personal situations has been absolutely brilliant.

    Cons

Career development plans are somewhat lacking and while everyone owns their own development some timelines and mapping would be helpful
