      Fantastic Company with Great People

      Pros

      - Hands down the best people I have worked with to date. - Very supportive, inclusive & diverse environment with an open-minded culture. - Fast paced - never a dull day given the pace at which we continue to scale. - Innovative mindset with opportunity to use cutting edge technology. - Vast opportunities to explore alternative roles across the business to further career development. - Extensive training (internal & external) opportunities on offer. - Flat structure, so personal relationships may be built with senior leadership quickly. - Excellent leadership in place trusted to take the company forward.

      Cons

      - Adaptation to work/life balance with COVID as with any business. Can be challenging particularly in a client-facing environment. - Typical teething problems with any business on this trajectory, managing rapid scale-up on a global basis means strong people are required to respond to / adapt to change.

      Amazing place to work

      Pros

Fenergo is a self made Irish company with fantastic opportunities to grow and excel your career. The culture is fast paced with loads of room and opportunities to learn and be part of something special. The workforce is diverse and inclusive to all and employees are supported to move within the organisation as opportunities arise. It is a very flexible place to work and the new hybrid model supports a very healthy work life balance. There is lots of fun to be had on a Fenegro night out and employees are always looked after very well with a range of exercise classes and social activities to choose from.

      Cons

As with any growing company there can be alot of change to deal with however with change usually comes more opportunities and with new member of the C -Suite joining Fenergo in recent months the strategy and the path forward is becoming very clear to all.

      Great culture

      Pros

Great culture, smart colleagues, flexible working arrangements, great little perks hampers gift vouchers etc. Very supportive and just a nice place to work overall.

      Cons

Work life balance can be an issue on some projects. Management structure is to decentralised which can mean accountability gaps. Big enough company but still has start up mentality. Suffering from some growing pains.

      Good conditions/Client focus

      Pros

(This can vary depending on where you work) The conditions, ambient and people are great. Many social events. Great work/life balance with a lot of freedom. Courses and training provided. Promote initiatives to improve how things are done. A flat structure where your ideas count.

      Cons

Not really good orchestration/coordination sometimes. Since it is client focus, almost no time is allocated to remove technical debt. Slow workflows. Too much configuration (xml). The flat structure has it's bad things, like watching people making an inefficient idea the norm without the rest of the people having a vote on that.

Overall a good experience but still lots to improve on

      Pros

Work life balance is excellent. Can work from home as many as 2 times a week although this is completely dependent on your manager. The company stance is 1 day a week. People are friendly, onboarding of new staff is excellent. The best I've seen. Sports and Social club is quite good. Events are regular and varied. Again, depending on your job, travel can be frequent which is a plus. Comfortable place to work, zero micro management. Your left to do the job.

      Cons

Management of the team is virtually non existent. No feedback whatsoever, in fact I've had 1 meaningful review in 18 months. The software itself isnt good. We deliver whatever the banks ask for even if it means pushing projects over the line too soon forgoing any sort of quality. This is a major issue in there. The company is growing rapidly but still has a small company mindset, will do anything for a cheque. This is known amongst all staff and even the CEO mentioned it at one of the quarterly reviews however nothing has changed.

A great place to work at

Apr 12, 2019 - Senior Developer in Dublin, Dublin

      Business Outlook

      Pros

My first main impression was (and still is) that the company really cares about its employees, pushing for the work-life balance in several ways (many social company events, very flexible working hours, work from home, cool canteens - in Dublin at least), not to mention the lots of benefits it can offer. The work as a developer also proved to be challenging enough so far.

      Cons

The product itself is huge, very complex and has its own ways, many of which could be hard/near impossible to change. Imo, it's not unique for applications of this size, but still it can be annoying for a developer. For the same reasons sometimes it can take a very long time for a good idea to be pushed through the system (but people are helpful and supportive in general, though).
