Good community service, good salary, good benefits and a necessary service. The work is challenging. The employees are great.
Cons
New employees aren’t eligible for a pension but they do have a generous 401k plan.

They care a lot about DE&I. They have good competitive benefits: I started with 3 weeks paid vacation, 2 weeks paid sick leave, a good BCBS health insurance plan w/ an HSA, vision and dental benefits. The salary was lower to start off but grew very quickly. Get access to a company truck to drive on the job.
Cons
The workload is heavy and sometimes the work-like balance isn't great. I find myself stressed about the number of projects I am assigned. The company also went through a merger in 2018 and the culture has started to decline. They care a lot more about profits than they used to and less about their customers and employees.
