Pros

Having some weekends off in the food service industry is a definite plus. Not very many late hours is as well. Pay is decent.

Cons

District managers and upper management are very unattached to the current business environment. Business decisions within Sodexo are rarely made on quantitative statistical analysis. It is all based on "ideas" with very little real world data to back up the ideas. In the healthcare sector, more and more is being asked of management while labor is continuously taken away. When there are issues, as a company culture, Sodexo does not investigate why there may be an issue, is it local, could it turn systemic, etc. Instead, they point there finger and say get it done. Much of the upper management came from within and had little experience from the outside world. They base things on how they used to be when they did it, not factoring in the ever changing environment and throwing their front line managers under the bus.

Pros

Corporate representatives were caring and kind, and tried to work with you.

Cons

High stress, high workload, lots of company initiatives that were being pushed. Lack of staffing made it difficult.
