Pros

If you like animals, it's great... for the most part, people are happy when they come in because they love seeing the animals. Pet store customers are more cheery . Most of management can be okay.... although the managers are like a revolving door. Pay is fair for retail. Benefits are okay.

Cons

Having to deal with the "pet perks" program and the majority of your customers don't get it or confuse it with petco's savings plan, which is different. Dealing with Mood management and five bosses or more.

helping pets and their parents, working with motivated and positive people, and the work environment was great!

Cons

they could only offer part time hours

Pros

If you have experience they can pay very well considering the size of the company. Depending on which store you are in, they can be pretty good at fostering a good environment and culture.

Cons

Company is primarily focused on sales and not customer experience. So expect a lot of metrics and hounding customers. Company is trying to be technologically forward but continues to neglect to invest in the technology. So there’s updates every week crashes every week with no communication around it.
