Pros

Cheap healthcare, catered lunches, on site gym, wonderful teammates

Cons

Paycom pays less when compared to similar companies, they took back their word on working from home, and leadership is way out of touch. Basically, if you don’t value yourself as a person and have no job experience, come work here and build up your résumé and then leave. There are no write ups or warnings ever. You will be fired without a chance to even explain your side. Only exceptions I’ve seen for this are 2 TL’s who definitely should’ve been fired years ago (and several HR complaints ago) but they somehow manage to hang on. Paycom likes to claim that they don’t do layoffs, but every year they fire dozens and dozens of people for whatever reason they choose that year. The first time that I witnessed this was in January 2023 when they decided to end remote work and bring everyone (except devs because they’re royalty) back to the office and all those who voiced their opinions were fired. Then in January 2024 teams got fired for working from home after they received approval from their supervisor and TL. They claimed that it wasn’t approved by HR and then fired all of them. Paycom‘s actions consistently show that they don’t care about their employees or value them. I feel like they like to pretend that they do by offering zoom yoga classes and bringing llamas to campus. They do all these superficial things to make it seem like they’re such a wonderful company to work for and I am truly baffled how this company wins these made up top workplace awards because I do not know a single person who loves working at Paycom. I had dedicated nearly 2 years of my life to working here and doing the best I can with the constant changes, insane workloads due to a lack of team members, and large & rushed projects but I made one mistake and was fired that day. I never complained about the ridiculous amount of overtime and stress I endured but here I am without a job.

Pros

- Base salary - PTO - Awesome colleagues - $1 Medical PPO offering

Cons

- Upper leadership seem to not value the operations department as much as they do with sales. They are not consistent as well, which causes them to change the entire department's job description, expectations, & commission structure every few months. Change is good but huge change every 3-4 months is so exhausting. - They overload you with too many clients to handle while increasing the number of internal calls. When asking for support from sales or middle management, its typically a hard negotiation or non-existent. Expect to work way over 40 hours/week and juggle 10-20+ clients at a time. - Sales will oversell on product & implementation expectation which makes the job 1000% harder. Turnover with sales is extremely high so don't expect for even the best reps stay as they either leave, get fired because quota was not met, or the new manager will cut them if they're "not the vibe". You get left with the newbies who does not know how to sell or support you when you need them. - Every role in this company has high turnover in general. Making it very hard to cross collaborate with other departments as everyone is either extremely swamped or new to the role and cannot support as well, - Being forced to go to Oklahoma for training every year, sometimes twice a year.
