Paycom will try and convince you that they care about you. It's in their value statement and they'll shout it from the rooftops. But when push comes to shove, they will show you exactly how little they really think of you. This past week the company has decided to bring back large numbers of employees back into the office full time (not, in itself, necessarily a bad decision, assuming it is backed by data and good faith). Unfortunately, no reasons were given and no data was supplied to explain the change, nor were we informed ahead of time such that we might adjust any perceived failings. We were given only one month in QA while other groups get more time for reasons that have not been explained either. When people expressed their concerns about finding childcare on such short notice, concerns about driving long distances after having been promised that this would not happen, concerns about work-life balance, concerns about having to sell houses, etc., the company's response has been patronizing, disrespectful, and infuriating. They set up a forum where we could ask our questions, and we did so. Hundreds of questions. A full day later, they have responded, and have given us the answer "we offer a competitive package" and effectively told us that we aren't worth their time. They explained to us that as far as they are concerned, any life changes we made based on THEIR promises are our own fault. And you know what, to that point, they may be right. They are compulsive liars and cowards and we should have known. So this is my warning to everyone else. Don't make the mistake we did. The pay is mid at best anyway.
